ABOUT OUR VINEYARD TOURS & WINE TASTINGS
During your tour you will explore Berkshire's largest winery, learn about Stanlake Park’s rich and fascinating history going back to the 12th Century, understand how wine is made and taste six samples of our very best wines.
We will welcome you with a glass of sparkling wine at check-in. Tour starts in one of our vineyards, planted in 1979, and continues inside our winery, a 17th Century Reformation barn. Your experienced tour guide will explain everything from grape-crushing, fermentation, barrel ageing, sparkling wine production, bottling and labelling, while we explore all the different areas of the winery.
Please wrap up warm, as even inside the winery it can be quite cold during autumn or winter!
After the first part of tour, that lasts roughly one hour, we will go back to the cellar shop and sample another five samples of delicious wines, comfortably seated. Your guide will explain everything you need to know about our wines, and will help you to taste wine like a pro - but without all the snobbery!
At the shop you will have an opportunity to purchase any of our wines by the glass, bottle or case, as well as a large selection of gifts and accessories. We also stock a wide variety of snacks, local chocolates, honey, beer, cider and much more.
Please note as this is a working vineyard we cannot always guarantee access to all areas, however your guide will do their utmost to show you everything possible in the time available.
The tour will last for approximately 2 hours - you may wish to book a taxi home! If you're organising a lift or booking a cab, we would recommend you to give yourself enough time, just so you're not rushed at the end of the tour.
Tours are wheel-chair suitable. Please contact us before booking so we can arrange accordingly. All our wines are suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
Food is not included in this tour; however, a variety of crackers and snacks are available for purchase.
Full details about our tours can be viewed on our Vineyard Tours page.
