Olio San Basilio - our favourite producer
With so many large-volume and unknown olive oil producers on the market, it's always a good idea to find a small, quality-minded producer that you can vouch for. That's why we decided to bring Olio San Basilio products into our Cellar Shop: Nico, our winemaker, went to high school in Puglia with Antonio, who now runs the company together with his sister Federica.
These two young entrepreneurs are committed to producing only high quality organic olive oil, with the utmost respect for the Puglian environment and biodiversity. They produce small quantities of a very delicious extra virgin olive oil, made only through cold-pressing to retain its delicate flavours and aromas.
Because it's a boutique producer, you won't find Olio San Basilio elsewhere in the UK, not even in delicatessen or small shops!
