Private Tours, Tastings & Events
Wine Tour & Tasting
If you’re looking for a special event for your staff outing, local club, birthday party or just a get together with a group of friends or family, this is the tour for you! We provide private wine tours and tastings throughout the year, offering a unique behind-the-scenes view of our vineyard and winery.
Our tours are designed to be friendly, informative and fun! No prior knowledge is required as our experienced guides will lead you through the ups and downs of English winemaking, making it perfect for bigger groups.
During your tour, you’ll visit some of our vines (weather permitting) before heading inside the winery to see the grape-pressing area, the fermentation tanks, the barrel room, the fizz room and the bottling line. You will be offered 6 different samples of our award-winning wines to taste.
It's a fantastic way to get a group of friends, family or colleagues together, celebrate, and taste some English wines!
Wine & Cheese Tour option
We can also arrange private Wine & Cheese Tours, that follow exactly the same format as our public wine and cheese tours.
This tour includes a shorter visit of the vineyard and winery, followed by a tutored tasting of our wines accompanied by an individual platter of delicious British cheese and crackers. Guests will taste 5 wines in total during this tour.
Both tours last roughly 2 hours and finish in our Gift Shop & Wine Bar, where you can purchase wine to take away or stay for an extra drink and some nibbles.
Private Tours Key Facts
Our experience is a wine tasting - we are unable to replace the wine for beer, cider, cocktails or any other alcoholic drink. We are also unable to offer any discount for tour participants who choose not to taste wine.
Non-alcoholic options will be offered for those not drinking alcohol.
Another very fun and engaging alternative for a staff day out or for family and friends, is our Wine Quiz.
This is a ver lively and entertaining event to put the group's general wine knowledge to the test. The quiz consists of rounds of questions about wine's style, geography, history and general knowledge related with wine - they span from something like where does a particular grape variety grows, to what celebrity own a vineyard in certain region or in which country a certain wine producing area is located. Participants don't need to be experts to win!
Please contact email@example.com if you want to organise your own Wine Quiz!

Tour dates and times
We prefer to arrange private tours on weekdays, although in low season (autumn-winter) we might be able to accommodate the group on a weekend. The length of the tour can also be adapted to suit your needs (for example, if you need a shorter tour of ~ 1 hour).
What if it’s raining?
Our tours can be adapted to the weather! The majority of the tour is inside the winery so the weather doesn’t affect it. However, if it’s pouring rain this may prohibit a visit to see some of the vines.
What should I wear?
You don’t need any special clothing, just sensible shoes and enough clothes to keep you warm. Our winery is kept at a cool temperature so short sleeves are ok for a summer daytime visit but in winter you’ll need to wrap up warm!
We have a large, free car-park at the front of the Wine Shop which can easily accommodate coaches. You're welcome to leave your car overnight.
Unfortunately our tours are unsuitable for anyone under the age of 18 and we cannot allow children of any age to accompany the tour. Sorry about that.
Pets are not allowed on tours or events inside the winery, only in the Wine Bar and Garden.
