If you’re looking for a special event for your staff outing, local club, birthday party, Xmas party or just a get together with a group of friends, this is the tour for you! We provide private wine tours and tastings throughout the year, offering a unique behind-the-scenes view of our vineyard and winery.

Our tours are designed to be friendly, informative and lots of fun! No prior knowledge is required as our experienced staff will lead you through the ups and downs of the English wine-making process.

You’ll visit some of our vines (weather permitting) before heading inside the winery to see the grape-pressing area, the fermentation tanks, the barrel room, champagne room and the bottling line. You will offered 6 samples of our award-winning wines to taste, including a selection from our white, red, rosé and sparkling range.

The tour ends in our fabulous Wine Shop, where you can buy your new-found favourite (we sell by the glass, bottle and case).

The tour will last for approx two hours – you may wish to book a taxi home!

We offer friendly, easy-going tours lead by experienced tour guides. Our guides are WSET-trained, and we can adapt the level of wine knowledge required according to your needs.

Please note: min 10 guests. We are unable to organise private tours on the weekends.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Cost

A private tour costs £20 per person, according to the size of the group and our availability.

Number of guests

We require a minimum of 10 guests to organise a private tour. We can accommodate almost any number of guests on the tours, although if the number exceeds 30 please contact us to discuss the arrangements, as it can be best to split the group and do staggered tours.

Booking terms

Pre-booking is essential. We require full payment in advance to secure your booking.

If you have to cancel your tour the following refund policy applies:

Less than 1 weeks' notice: no refund available.

Less than 4 weeks' notice: we will refund 50% of your payment.

More than 4 weeks' notice: we will refund 90% of your payment or, you may reschedule your tour at no charge.

‘No shows’ on the day are not entitled to a refund.

We are unable to provide a discount for tour participants who choose not to taste the wine.

How to pay

We accept payment via bank transfer, cheques or by credit/debit cards. We are unable to take payments over the phone and we don't take cash.

When to book

It is advisable to book as far in advance as possible. Our tour calendar fills very quickly and if you leave it until the last minute your preferred date may no longer be available.

How to book

Please email stating your name, address, business name (if any), phone number, your preferred tour date and time, estimated number of guests. We will get in touch as soon as possible to advise on the availability of your tour date. Please note: your tour is not confirmed until we have received full payment in advance.

Tour dates and times

We can offer a great deal of flexibility for a private tour, including weekdays, weekends or evenings. The length of the tour can also be adapted to your needs (for example, if you need a shorter tour of ~ 1 hour).

Food options

We can add cheese boards and crackers to our tours for a fee. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

What if it’s raining?

Our tours can be adapted to the weather! The majority of the tour is inside the winery so the weather doesn’t affect it. However, if it’s raining this may prohibit a visit to see some of the vines.

What should I wear?

You don’t need any special clothing, just sensible shoes and enough clothes to keep you warm. Our winery is kept at a cool temperature so short sleeves are ok for a summer daytime visit but in the evenings and in winter you’ll need to wrap up warm!

Car Parking

We have a large, free car-park at the front of the Cellar Shop which can easily accommodate coaches. You're welcome to leave your car overnight, too.

Unfortunately our tours are unsuitable for anyone under the age of 18 and we cannot allow children of any age to accompany the tour. Sorry about that.

Pets are not allowed on tours and events.
