Gewurz
GEWURZ : Gewurztraminer, the classic grape of Alsace, is very rarely made in England. This Gewurz is made from the grapes that grow within our 14th century walled garden. The slow cool fermentation has retained the aromas of rose petals and spice, followed by a long dry finish together with hints of lychee and papaya. Great as an aperitif, or with spicy food.

Ortega
Ortega is only produced as a single variety when we have sufficient grapes - and so is not produced every year. A very interesting variety, made as a dry wine, rich and zesty with delicate fruit and subtle complexity. Good with chicken and all white meat and fish.

Madeleine
MADELEINE: Our Madeleine Angevine grapes are carefully hand-picked in October. Gentle pressing and a long cool fermentation captures the aromatic and floral nature of this grape. An off-dry wine with an herbaceous and floral nose, with hints of apricots and lime on the final palate. Really good with Asian food.

Bacchus
BACCHUS: Bacchus is now a popular English variety becoming widely grown. Bacchus is fresh and crisp with a clean off-dry finish, infused with hints of pineapple. We only grow a small quantity of this delicious grape. A very distinctive taste, great lightly chilled by itself, or with pasta or chicken.

Regatta
REGATTA: Regatta is named after the Henley Regatta which takes place only a few miles from our Vineyard. It's one of the first wines ever made by Stanlake and has been a consistent blend of several of our grape varieties, such as Ortega and Schonburger, to make a dry, crisp, fresh wine, with a clean herbaceous finish. Try it with fresh crab or lobster!
