English Red Wine
Ruscombe
Ruscombe is named after the local church in Ruscombe, where Richard Aldworth III, who lived in Stanlake Park, and founded the Reading Bluecoats School, was buried in 1680. Ruscombe can be enjoyed whenever the need for medium bodied red wine arises. It contains the following grape varieties: Triomphe and Dornfelder. Serve at room temperature.

The Reserve
Our Reserve red wine is made in only the smallest amount from our best, individually hand-selected red grapes: Dornfelder, Triomphe and Rondo. It has subtle oak maturing and yet retains its fresh, dry, fruity flavour. It will mellow further and will cellar well for around 5 years. Great with English cheese.

Pinot Noir
We have made a 100% Pinot Noir on only a few occasions in the last 20 years. Perfect conditions of growing and harvesting are needed for this temperamental red grape to attain the standard required. The wine has been made in the traditional Burgundian method, with a warm fermentation in new French oak barriques. The wine is very smooth, light and silky in character and can either be served at room temperature or very slightly cooler. It is excellent with cheese - or just by itself! It will age for a further 5-6 years.
